The Remedy

As of Sunday evening the realization is settling in across Trumpland on Twitter. Folks are cluing in to an idea of what is happening:

Everything that is happening in terms of Trump's lawsuits is leading up to a key Supreme Court case.

What will the case be? We don't know at the moment. But it will probably be something big, that applies across multiple states, perhaps all the questionable states. The evidence for the case will be the evidence of fraud. It include much of what is being gathered by citizens, but it will probably include much more, that the public is not aware of, but which the Trump Administration knows exists. It has to be massive and convincing, and it probably has to be of the type that ties in together the frauds in multiple states,

The Trump folks probably gathered sone of it through various agencies loyal to the President, probably using the military, on the grounds that what happened is an attack on the United States.

The Supreme Court will be asked to make a ruling.

Whatever it is, this ruling, if Trump wins it, he will probably be President. If he loses, then he probably will not be President.

We don't know what the case will be. But it will be big. It will be the biggest Supreme Court case in American history. It will be for all the marbles. It will legendary.

The Supreme Court may be asked to do something unprecedented in history by overruling elections in some manner.

What could the Supreme Court do, if they find that the election itself was fraudulent? They cannot declare the winner of the election. They cannot make Trump President. What can they do?

That part is the easy part---their options. Of course they can do anything within the law, perhaps, but there is an easy remedy for them to apply, one that has been used before in American history, to settle such things, although not in the way exactly. They can send the election to be decided by the House of Representatives, the People's Chamber. The House then picks the President for the next four years, via provisions in the 12th Amendment.

In the House, according to this Amendment, for this vote they vote not as individual House members but as states.  Fifty votes total. That might be what the Supreme Court is asked to do---send the election to the House.

Five votes on the Supreme Court will decide the future of the country.

The Constitution is beautiful. It is an ancient machine designed by geniuses who asked God to help them build something that would endure crises over time. This is just such a crisis. It's working, this machine.

This is an amazing time.

If it plays out this way, do you have any doubt, the slightest at all, who will win?
