Speaker Ocasio-Cortez?

Kevin McCarthy, the GOP leader in the House, just dropped this ace .

Basically he implied that the Republicans will have enough seats even as a minority to make this happen if they want, and if AOC--or someone like her in her group--is up for the task. Think she wouldn't take the offer? Basically the GOP is going to put the speakership up for auction among the Democrats. Any Democrat that brings just four or five votes with them in a deal can be made Speaker by the GOP.  I wonder which Dems will making visits to McCarthy's office?

So delicious. This is almost better than taking the House outright (still possible, and preferred). But the bottom line is that the GOP will decide who the face of the Democratic Party will be in Congress for the next two years, and going into the next mid-terms.

How could Pelosi survive as Speaker? Probably not a chance, but certainly only it could only be through massive groveling to the GOP. But the window for that will close quickly, I would guess. I'd bet it could happen only the Democrats fold their tent very quickly and spare the full disclosure coming their way.  Probably too late. Pelosi is probably in too deep. But it is becoming fun to think about what's ahead.

Justice is being served already, just a few spoonfuls as an appetizer. Much more to come, no doubt.
