That is not the point. It is fine if their ticket gets five percent. Hillary Clinton is their candidate. They are completely on board with her for this cycle, but it is unlikely she will be healthy enough to run in 2020. In the meantime, it is vitally important to preserve the network of donors and institutions that currently make up the extended Republican Party establishment. It must be kept intact as much as possible, so it can then grafted back into the Party after they are able to regain it. Wait long enough, and you will always win.
