Down under the Interstate at the east end of the Fremont Bridge, looking down the hill towards the Willamette River. The midday traffic roars overhead. Here is where the great highway I-5 sends a spur across the river to NW Portland. This location under the highway is the heart and soul of the East Portland community known as Albina (Al-BIGH-nuh).  May 10, 2016.
