The Election is Over

Amazing. We seem to have agreed upon the winner by national acclamation. It is as if we have read the spoilers, and are binge watching the episodes on Netflix to get to the next season.

The perfect plot twist. Even those planning on voting against him seem to be on board with it in a weird way, and are looking forward to the role of dissent, if it comes to that. Who knows how things will shake out. The rest of the voting will be about positioning the political alignments going forward in the new era, and staking out the new parties. At least it will be novel and interesting.  I sense the nation would be collectively let down at this point, if it didn't happen.
