Restore Justice to the Nation, O Lord

 In the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Lord, as we go forth in this endeavor to restore Justice in Your holy name, let us do so with Your blessing on us. Let us remain steadfast of purpose and humble, undaunted by momentary delays, defeats, setbacks, and diversions. Rebuke us not for falling short of Your perfection. Suffer us not to be blinded by pride because we become victorious, for our victory will not ours but Yours, and we but serve to provide its earthly manifestation.

We beseech You: provide wisdom and guidance to those charged with carrying the cause of the People, in their navigation of the channels of the law. 

We beseech You: provide wisdom to the judges who must decide these cases. Protect them. Inspire them with Your Spirit.

We beseech You: grant hope and comfort to those in distress over the uncertainty and drama of this moment of history, a tiniest sliver of time in the course of Your Eternity, but the moment we are bid to face. 

We beseech You: guide the nation in moving forward beyond this crisis, towards a day in the near future when the relief of liberation is felt by all who are willing to open themselves to it.

We humble ourselves in asking this of You, O Lord. 

Restore us to Justice, we beg of You.
