"This is a 1776 Moment"

I was just reading a Twitter thread from Larry Schweikart. He is one of the last few I truly follow on Twitter. He is about seventy years old, but seems much younger when on camera. He lives in Arizona, and has a huge following from a radio show. He wrote a book that was rebuttal to Howard Zinn's famous leftist critique of America. He has connections in the White House and has dropped strong hints he will be on Trump's 1776 Commission.

He is not a Thomas Wictor.  One does not look to him for that kind of vision but for the situation "on the ground". He would never venture into that kind of speculation or confidence based on deep research. As far as his info, he is data geek. He is no-nonsense independent news source, and likes to stick to the numbers in front of him, the kind the media has access to, even when it goes against him.  From his grinding of the numbers, I learned in 2018 that Kyrsten Sinema was going beat Martha McSally in the Senate race based the boxes of harvested ballots as they came in from parts of Maricopa County in the days after the election was over. He is dependable if you want the straight up scuttlebutt.

In he latest thread he mentioned that he does not know what is happening in Georgia, and the state of the ballots there, in regard to what he was told that the Trump campaign believed they would wind up with a 3,000 vote victory.  But remember: this was a "leak" from inside Team Trump. We know Trump uses leak to distract, even his own supporters, if need be.  On the other hand, when Trump himself says something like "we'll see" or "have to look at this", often that tells you something is solid fact.

He said, rightfully, that recounts alone will not help, as they will simply recount fraudulent ballots. But he implied the recounts might expose fraud. Personally I think this is probably a big part of the story unfolding.

He said something that sounds dire on the surface. He said this will possibly come down to state legislatures in PA, MI, and WI sending a slate of electors to the Electoral College that may not match the raw vote total. We haven't had this kind of thing since the 1870s. He said this will take enormous courage for them to do this. We should pray for these people and their families.

"This is a 1776 moment," he said.

Indeed it is. It is like George Washington's time, I have been telling people. The entire Republic is in the balance. Even the Democrats know they cheated bigtime to get this result. Win or hang.

If I didn't also have Wictor's insights and perspective, this might all seem like a big longshot and huge risk, as it does for Schweikart at the moment.

If Wictor is right, however, the decision to override the initial count, to throw out entire chunks of votes, will be a lot easier for these legislators between now and December 14. In fact it may be the obvious thing to do.

Team Trump seems serenely calm and confident during this, in the way that jives with what Wictor is saying, as if they know how this will turn out.

For those of us on the outside looking in, there is little we can do, except for obvious things keeping up morale (what I'm doing), and giving money to the Trump campaign (which I am also doing). Silly me that I thought the barrage of fundraising texts that were blowing up my phone to three digits of notifications were over on Tuesday! That's what I get for donating to sixty House candidates and a half a dozen Senate candidates. Is this what is like to be "popular"?

Speaking of the House, I am going to look at my scorecard of funded candidates in the near future, when everything is settled. Some races are still being decided. I think I did pretty well, just from my casual impression. Still a very decent shot that the GOP takes the House by a single seat or two. They are only two victories away at the moment, from what I've seen.

This is fun. This is amazing history. We are living it in real time. This is bigger than anything in my lifetime, including 9/11. This is the moment that some of us feel like we were born for.

My last comment here. Just speculation. All eyes will be on Wisconsin during the recount, which is definitely going to take place. It may well be the vector through which the fraud is revealed, and if it changes the numbers substantially, then it is game on big time in the other states. This is why they only need one recount to happen in one state. But this is just me guessing. I am just a citizen spectator at the moment, with a Bible in one hand and my iPad in the other.

Follow up: Larry just tweeted out suggesting many/most of his followers on Twitter should consider unfollowing him ASAP, because of the vengeance that is coming for us after Biden gets sworn in. He sees options as very slim right now for Trump. If I didn't have Wictor's perspective I might be down in spirits too. But I am not. Something in my gut tells me Wictor is going to be more right than wrong in the days ahead.
